Weighing only 5. 5 grams and with dimensions of 35 x 32. 5 x 2. 95 mm, the MC55/56 modules give you the highest degree of flexibility possible when it comes to integrating voice and data communication in your own products.
When combined, the two module variants constitute a double tri-band solution: while the MC55 supports the radio frequencies commonly used in Asia and Europe (900, 1800 and 1900 MHz), the MC56 supports 850, 1800 and 1900 MHz, which makes the latter particularly suitable for use in devices destined for the North American market. By using both, you can develop your products for use throughout the world.
The modules are designed for Microsoft® Windows Mobile™ 5. 0-based devices (Smartphones and Pocket PCs). The required RIL/MUX software is enclosed in the scope of delivery.
